President Donald Trump has called for a $1.5 trillion military budget – around a 50% increase in spending – for FY2027. Now, Democrats are gearing up for a fight to ensure that domestic discretionary spending gets the same bump, putting Congress once again on a path toward a continuing resolution or another shutdown.
