Hill staffers see Mills and Cornyn as Senate primary winners

A majority of Hill staffers say Democratic Maine Gov. Janet Mills and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) will win their respective party’s Senate primary next year, according to the latest Canvass survey.

A little over half of respondents on Capitol Hill (54%) say Cornyn will win the Senate Republican primary in Texas. Forty-one percent said Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton would win, and 6% favored Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Texas) to win the primary.
