Lobbyists not optimistic on AI framework

A majority of K Street leaders say it’s important to their clients that Congress pass a national standard for artificial intelligence. Still, the lobbying world doesn’t see lawmakers creating a federal framework this year, according to our recent Canvass survey.

Most K Street leaders who took the survey (77%) say the clients and businesses they represent view an AI standard as important, but only 22% of them expect Congress to pass “a consistent federal framework” by the end of the year.
