Graham-led Russia sanctions bill hits veto-proof majority

A veto-proof majority in the Senate is backing a Russia sanctions bill led by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), as senators from both parties urge President Donald Trump to cut off peace talks with Moscow.

The proposal, which we scooped back in March, has the support of Senate Majority Leader John Thune and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer. There’s a House companion led by Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), although that only has limited support.
