The Senate parliamentarian is hearing new arguments on whether a provision that would overrule state regulation of artificial intelligence can be included in the reconciliation bill.
The move threatens a major procedural win for the provision favored by the tech industry, and could prompt a rewrite by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), who’s leading the provision.
“These conversations will be ongoing until the bill is passed and signed into law,” Cruz told us today.
