Senate gone until Monday, House GOP cancels votes

For a fourth time, the Senate rejected the House-passed bill to fund the government until Nov. 21. Senators will now head home for the weekend while the government shutdown continues, leaving federal agencies closed and hundreds of thousands of federal employees on furlough.
