Senate Minority Whip John Thune said this morning that he hopes President-elect Donald Trump stays out of the race to succeed Mitch McConnell.
Thune, of course, is in that race, running against Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas).
