Congress must act to stop China from “legally and illegally” acquiring advanced U.S. technologies, House China Committee Chair John Moolenaar (R-Mich.) said Thursday.
Moolenaar said during a hearing that lawmakers must do more to strengthen export controls of chips going to China, crack down on chip smuggling and stop Chinese AI models from illegally learning from closed American models.
