The Defense Department is deepening its financial ties to key players in the artificial intelligence industry, including Elon Musk’s xAI.
The Pentagon announced Monday it’s launching contracts with xAI, Google, OpenAI and Anthropic. Each of the four awards could be worth up to $200 million as the department seeks more commercial vendors for tech work.
