Tech doesn’t like a shutdown

Washington is in a state of paralysis. Yes, even more than usual.

It’s hard to escape talking about the government shutdown, which has reached its fifth day. The stoppage of most government services has a deep impact on the economy, including the tech industry.

And it wasn’t just government funding that lapsed on Sept. 30. The Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act, a critical cyber law, also expired despite months of pleading from the administration and the tech industry for a renewal.
