House Republicans are once again attempting to slash the IRS budget, proposing an 18% funding cut in FY2025 for the agency.

In their proposal released today, the GOP largely takes aim at money for enforcing the tax code, a constant flashpoint especially since Democrats gave the IRS extra funding to crack down on tax cheats in the Inflation Reduction Act.
