Progress and ‘misery’ inside market structure talks

It’s a crucial week for crypto policy on Capitol Hill. Sens. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) discussed the latest developments in market structure talks on stage Tuesday morning.

Then later in the morning, a bipartisan group privately convened in the office of Senate Banking Committee Chair Tim Scott (R-S.C.) to discuss a potential compromise. The signals coming out of that meeting were mixed and showed signs of strain between the parties.
