One helluva time for a monetary policy task force

After the week we’ve had in global economics, a low-key task force on the House Financial Services Committee just got a lot more important.

HFSC Chair French Hill (R-Ark.) assigned Rep. Frank Lucas (R-Okla.) to lead a new committee task force on monetary policy in January. Then, last week, the president’s tariff onslaught against just about the entire world put markets under the shadow of a potential financial crisis.
