The House Budget Committee is scheduled to reconvene Sunday at 10 p.m. to try to advance the Republican reconciliation bill following a devastating rebuke today to Speaker Mike Johnson and President Donald Trump.
The late-night markup is an attempt to give House Republicans a chance to bring the bill to the House Rules Committee on Wednesday. That would permit GOP leaders to set up a floor vote sometime next week.
