Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) predicted Thursday that Ohio Republicans would pass a new congressional map that reduces Democrats’ footprint in the state to just two seats.
Ohio is required by its constitution to redistrict ahead of 2026 because it passed a map in the 2022 cycle without the requisite bipartisan support. But state Republicans have been slow-walking their redraw of the 15 congressional districts, debating whether to try to draw a map that is likely to elect 12 Republicans or 13 Republicans.
