Sherrod Brown calls on Menendez to resign

Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, a vulnerable in-cycle Democrat, has become the second Democratic senator to call on Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) to resign.

Brown — who chairs the Senate Banking Committee, a panel on which Menendez serves — issued a one-sentence statement Monday afternoon saying Menendez “has broken the public trust.”
