Howard Lutnick leaves room to tweak CHIPS funding

Howard Lutnick, President Donald Trump’s choice to lead the Commerce Department, called for studying a law designed to bring semiconductor manufacturing back to the United States.

During his confirmation hearing today, Lutnick called the funding under the CHIPS and Science law “an excellent downpayment” but left room for tweaks.
