The annual defense policy bill may be the only bipartisan game in town right now, but it isn’t short on controversy when it comes to tech policy.
The Senate passed its version of the FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act last week. It includes a few disputed tech provisions. One measure would dramatically impact chipmakers’ China business, while another would force lawmakers to relitigate some of the spectrum decisions made as part of the reconciliation bill passed earlier this year.
