W.H. rescissions package hits wall

News: A highly-touted rescissions package from the White House has run into a buzzsaw of opposition from House and Senate Republicans, delaying any action on the measure.

The $9 billion-plus package is stalled amid GOP questions about the substance of the proposal, as well as the potential timeline for floor action. Remember, the White House was supposed to send it on Monday, and House GOP leaders were preparing to vote on it as early as next week.
