Several Senate Republicans oppose a plan to restrict states from regulating artificial intelligence, complicating its chances of passage in the reconciliation package.

GOP Sens. Rick Scott (Fla.) and Ron Johnson (Wis.) said Tuesday they oppose putting limits on states' AI policies. Previously, Sens. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), as well as a group of House conservatives, said they are against the policy.
